HR Giger fans might appreciate these airbrush paintings I've been freehand airbrushing on 18"X24" newsprint paper or cotton bedsheets using black white and grey Golden fluid acrylics thinned 3-1.
Regular airbrush drills were getting boring so i decided to paint something i enjoy: ALIENS...and so im doing a series of aliens over+over again, until i get better using this airbrush freehand/freeform method. I believe HR Giger freehand/freeform sketched using the airbrush on the early "alien" but i cant find any info....i do know he was schooled as an Industrial Designer. For years industrial designers have used freehand sketching to come up with new designs, fast. It is the best method for illustrating new ideas, IMO. This idea sketching process is similar to when you "see" animals in the clouds or see faces in wood grains. Previously, i use pencils but the AB is now my favorite tool to design these weird alien gods and spaceships etc....Im looking forward to getting better and will post more sketches here as time goes on.
Any tips, comments, info,or links are welcome
